Jennifer Lynn Vaughn's Obituary
Jennifer Lynn Vaughn (McCullough), age 61, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Jennifer “Jennie” was born January 16, 1962 at St. Ann's Hospital to the late James G. McCullough and Mary J. McCullough (Sullivan). Jennie was an incredible and nurturing mother to her 5 children and a caring, and loving Nana to her 11 grandchildren. She was also a loyal pet owner and best friend to her dog Nina and cat Mittens. She always made sure that everyone knew how much she loved all of her family. When it came to Jennie so many of her childrens’ friends and others called her mom or Aunt Jennie and thought of her as family. She had so much love to give. She supported and cared about everyone who came into her life. Jennie loved to travel to the mountains of Tennessee, Carolinas or the ocean, or any water especially Lake Erie where she said she felt closest with her father after he passed away. Sometimes she would even just turn up her music and drive the back country roads. Jennie was such a strong and determined woman and mother, as she raised her 5 kids, she worked full time and went to school to be Veterinarian Her house was always full with her kids, their friends that she called her bonus kids or family, she was always trying to help everyone she could in any way. She adored animals. A couple of her favorites were bears, birds, butterflies and turtles. Jennie rescued and helped any she could. Jennie was a fan of Nascar and The Green Bay Packers.
In addition to her parents James and Mary, Jennifer is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Vaughn, 3 of her siblings Mark, Jodi and John McCullough, her nephew Marc Stephens, and her Granddaughter Lariyah Patterson.
Jennifer is survived by her step mother Fostina Mcullough; her children, Jessica Savage, Nicole (Shaun) Hutchason, Jason (Mistie) Patterson, Amanda (Shane) Edwards, and Christa Ford; her grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Reanna, Abby, Charlie, Adrian, Jaylen, Brylen, Layla, Raylee, and Paisley; her pets Nina and Mittens ; her best friend/caretaker Greg (Greg Jr.); her brother Scott McCullough and many nieces, nephews, family and enormous number of friends who were also family to Jennie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Buckeye Cremation
A Celebration of Life will be held in Jennifer’s Memory at Crossroads Baptist Church, 5075 Cleveland Ave, Columbus Ohio on October 14th, 2023 at 11AM.
