Janice Marie Gleason's Obituary
Janice Marie Gleason (Biagini), of Lewis Center, Ohio passed away on April 2, 2024 at St. Ann’s Hospital with 3 of her children and 3 of her grandchildren by her side. She was 81.
Janice was born on June 12, 1942 to Foster and Clearinda Biagini (Asher) in Hazard, KY. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus. She met her then husband-to-be, Jerome T. Gleason, and went on to be a wife and mother of four sons and a daughter. When asked how she knew he was the one, she answered, “He was there all the time.”
Janice was an independent woman but would help anyone she could. Reflective in that was her childhood dream to someday become a nurse. Life’s path, however, led her down the road to raising her children, whom even to this day was what she was most thankful for in this life. She loved being a Grandmother!
Janice loved gardening and working with flowers whenever she could. Known as the “forever decorator” she was often busy remaking her home cozy with a fresh coat of paint or changing her wall decorations. Simply put, Janice loved being a homemaker.
Janice is survived by her children Michael Gleason, Chris (Natalia) Gleason, Diane Gleason Frank, Steve (Teresa) Gleason, and Matthew (Brandy) Gleason; grandchildren, Cole Frank, Tyler Frank and Courtney Lawrence, Alex Gleason, Bradley and Branden Gleason, Joshua, Zachariah (Cassidy), Elizabeth (Eric) Weitzel, Hannah (Kyle) Church, Rachel, Nathaniel, Samuel, and Abigail Gleason; great grandchildren Juliet, Eva, and Maxwell Weitzel, Antony and Adaline Church; brother, Butch (Debra) Biagini; her nieces Amber Biagini, Andrea (Jim) Andujar, Amanda (Mike) Kronander.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Clearinda Biagini; and longtime childhood friend, Theresa McNally Clark.
The family would also like to recognize the compassion and care that their mom received at St. Ann’s and especially her physician, Dr. Bryan Grishow.
A celebration of life will take place in May. Details to be announced.
