Jane Stevens Evans Zartman's Obituary
Jane Stevens Evans Zartman, age 94, passed away peacefully June 6, 2022, at her residence. Jane was born November 7, 1927, in Columbus Ohio. Grew up in Columbus and after marriage became a lifelong member of Upper Arlington, Ohio. Daughter of the late Dr & Mrs. Joseph and Marie Smith Stevens. A graduate of Columbus North High School in 1945 and The Ohio State University in 1948. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Her community involvement includes member of First Community Church and Couples Circle, Twig 118 at Children’s Hospital, Past President Childhood League, Past President of Childhood League Assisting Boards 4 & 5, member of Riverside Methodist Hospital woman’s governing board, past Chair of Riverside Methodist Hospital Service Board 3. A Member of Scioto Country Club and the Scioto CC Women’s Golf Association. Former member of the Columbus Museum of Art Women’s Board. She is preceded in death by husbands Jack C Evans and Dr. Edwin Zartman, and son John Steven Evans, She is survived by sons Jeff (Linda) Evans, Sarasota Florida and James Patrick Evans, Upper Arlington Ohio; her 4-footed doodle girls Suki and Luna and their dads Tyler and Dustin, Worthington, Ohio; grandchildren: Carly Evans, Sarasota, FL, John David (Michelle) Evans, Columbus, OH, Jennifer (Andy) Wilkinson, Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren Lucy Jane Evans and Josie Marie Evans; daughter-in-law Sarah Evans. Jane loved being active playing tennis, golf and bridge. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, from noon – 6 pm at the residence, 3740 Hillview Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
