James Peter Argeroplos' Obituary
James Peter Argeroplos was born December 27, 1955 in Bremerhaven, Germany and died April 25 2025.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Valerie Argeroplos, as well as his Sister Jackie Collins.
Jim is survived by His brothers Paul (Christa) Argeroplos, Billy Argeroplos and Peter John aka PJ ( Wendy) Argeroplos, and sister Nikki Argeroplos. Children James (Theresa) Argeroplos, grandson Winston Argeroplos, Daughter Katie Scarlett Argeroplos, step daughter Kathleen (Joe) Dearth and granddaughter Adeline Dearth.
Because Jim’s Father was in the Airforce, he grew up traveling the world from Turkey to England and across the United States from New York to California.
In 1974 Jim joined the Navy and was assigned to Submarine duty until 1987. During that time Jim’s son James Steven Argeroplos was born. Later in 1990 after a move to Ohio his Daughter Katie Scarlett Argeroplos was born.
Jim was employed in the airline industry as a mechanic for Emery Air Freight, then Southern Air Transport as a material specialist, then Airborne Express, and finally Republic Airlines.
On April 17, 1999 Jim married Joyce Ayres. Jim and Joyce dedicated their lives to God and spent many years together in the full-time ministry as Jehovah’s Witnesses, working in the Pennsylvania German language field. Jim suffered for years with several serious health problems, but in spite of that, he was the first to see to the needs of others who were ill or in need. Jim’s love for people, especially his spiritual Brothers and Sisters caused him to put his own health struggles in the background so that he could reach out and be a constant source of encouragement to others. With the faithful support of his wife Joyce, Jim faced his medical burdens with the strength, faith, and courage that he knew was supplied by his God, Jehovah.
Memorial service for James will be Saturday May 10th at 3pm. It will be held at the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah’s Witnesses at 23341 OH-104, Circleville Ohio 43113.
