Harvey Elden Garrabrant's Obituary
Harvey Elden Garrabrant, 81 of Columbus passed away peacefully with family at his side on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Born June 11, 1942 to Louis and Anna Mae Garrabrant who preceded him in death. Harvey was a graduate of Hamilton Township High School with one year at Columbus College of Art & Design. An Army Vietnam Veteran with Medals for Sharpshooter, Service, Good Conduct, and Honorable Discharge. He retired from EBCO Manufacturing Co. after 33 years during which he was a member of the Fire Brigade, Golf and Bowling League, after which he worked at COSI and Country Club Golf Course. In September of 1999 he became an Amputee Cancer Survivor. Preceded in death by his late wife Nancy J. Garrabrant, Daughter JoAnn Miller, Son Richard Sewell, Son-n-laws, Jeff Miller, Dan Toney, Mike Pinson, Granddaughter Richelle Sewell, and close Uncle WWII Vet Karl Garrabrant. Survived by Daughters Liz Pinson, Amy Toney, Sue (Darrell) Thomas, Barbara (Danny) Copley and Son Benjamin Scott Garrabrant. 13 Grandchildren, 6 Grandchildren-n-laws, and 27 Great-Grandchildren. Brother David Garrabrant and Sister Julianna Heiseman. Harvey enjoyed Golf, Art, Football, Fishing, Cookbooks, Telling Stories, and John Wayne movies. He will be Cremated by Buckeye-Schoedinger with a Private at Home Memorial to follow.
