Gloria Kennedy's Obituary
Gloria Kennedy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Dublin Methodist Hospital. She was born on December 23,1946 in Chauncey, WV, and was married to Clarence Kennedy for 26 years before his death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her father, Cornelius Vance and her granddaughter, Lisa Marie Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Barry) Hegenderfer, her son Ed (Tina) Kennedy, her three grandsons Dakota, Jackson, and Joseph, her mother Bertie, her six siblings, Carlene (Glenn), Ron (Nadine), Don (Charlotte), Randall (Regina), Pam (Jerry), and Carm (Mike), her "niece daughters" Missi and Kristie and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
She worked for many years as a precision foam cutter at G&T Industries, attended the Mansfield Business College, and was a certified antique appraiser who ran her own consignment shop, Kennedy Mobile Sales. She enjoyed reading, singing, traveling, antiquing, loved her pets, and especially loved doing anything that involved being with her grandsons who were her true pride and joy.
There will be no local services, but a celebration of her life is planned for late spring in Logan, WV where her friends and family will gather to smile and laugh as the many wonderful stories of her caring and loving life are shared.
