Glenn Allen Griffiths' Obituary
Glenn Allen Griffiths passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at the age of 73.
Glenn was born September 26, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert I. and Vera J.
Griffiths. He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Heights HS and went on to attend Rio Grande
University and was a 1972 graduate of Ohio University.
Glenn worked for many years at United Refrigeration (which was co-founded by his
grandfather Jon Griffiths), Airtron, Columbus Heating and Ventilation, as a teacher at Madison
Correctional Institution, and was still working as a starter/Ranger at the Golf Course of Dublin.
He was proud that he had been working for over 60 years and still loved going to work every
day.
Glenn was a loving husband and father. He was always there for his family and made sure they
had everything they needed. Glenn was still close to many of his childhood friends and was
always adding to his circle through work and sports. He loved travelling and sports, and was still
playing golf and softball at 73 years old. He diligently saved so that he could help his kids and
grandkids attend college or trade school without incurring debt. Glenn was easy to talk to and
could easily start up a conversation with anyone and made numerous friends through his life.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Robert (Bob) Griffiths and his mother Vera Griffiths
(Millavec) and his mother-in-law Mable Gray and father-in-law Lee Gray and many dear lifelong
friends.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Violet (Kay) Griffiths and family; his son’s and
daughter-in-law, Eric Ryan (Kelly) and Adam Griffiths; his grandchildren, Tyler Ryan, Ally
Ryan and Abel Griffiths; his brother and sister-in-law Jack Griffiths and Karen Griffiths and their
families as well as many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers and live
your life to the fullest, as Glenn did every day.
