Glen Francis Potts' Obituary
Glen Francis Potts, age 91, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at OSU University Hospital. Glenn was born October 7, 1932 in Duffy, Ohio. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Maxine (Hoyt) Potts; two daughters, Jayne Ann, and Jennifer of Gahanna, Ohio; a son, Jeff (Chris) Potts of Grayson, KY; a daughter-in-law, Misty Potts; brother-in-law, Ron (Patsy) Hoyt of new Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Jerry Potts of Clarington, OH, Joshua Potts of Canal Winchester, OH, Jessica (Chris) Robinson of Lancaster, OH, Leigh Ann Baldridge of Clarington, Ohio, Stephanie (Justin) Isaly of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Tory Dalrymple of Hannibal, Ohio; five step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma (Weiss) Potts; father, Harold Gordon Potts; brothers, Richard (Ruth) and Carl (Twila) Potts; son, Jerome Potts; mother-in-law, Ruth Hoyt; and father-in-law, Harry Hoyt. Glenn graduated Hannibal High School in 1952 and served in the US Army in Germany, worked as a deckhand on the river, an ironworker, and retired from Olin Mathieson Aluminum Plant where he was a Complex Operator in the cast house. Glenn was an avid River High Pilot and Ohio State Buckeye fan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Duffy Church of Christ, 40133 State Route 7, Hannibal, Ohio 43931.
