Geraldine "Jeri" Plummer's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Geraldine (Jeri) Plummer December 29, 1944 – December 2, 2024 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine (Jeri) Plummer. A graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School in 1962, Jeri left us on December 2, 2024, leaving an unmistakable light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jeri was a one-of-a-kind soul with a larger-than-life personality. She could transform any moment into an unforgettable memory with her infectious laugh and vivid storytelling. Known for her humor, quick wit, and candid nature, she had a knack for bringing laughter to any room. Her warmth and honesty were qualities that everyone cherished.
Behind her humor was a heart full of care and generosity. Jeri was always lending a hand, sharing words of encouragement, or simply listening. She made it a priority to support and uplift those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
Jeri’s life was a testament to love, intention, and a heart full of joy. She loved her family and her “fur babies” with all her heart. Her cherished pets—Maddie Mae, Riley Rose, Molly McGee, Roxie, Rosie, Honey Buns, and Billie Boy—were deeply spoiled and brought her endless happiness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Marie Bixeman; her father, Harry J. Custer; her sister, Ruthie Galbin; and her brother, Harry R. Custer; Charles Plummer; and Ray McManus.
Geri is survived by her loving life partner of 28 years, Tracy Weidrick of Reynoldsburg. She is also survived by her daughters: Tammy McManus (Kevin) of Dayton, Tonya Bailey (Mac) of Canal Winchester, and Ursula Plummer of Lancaster. Her sister, Betty Mauriello of Columbus, also mourns her loss.
Her grandchildren—Christina Wood, Matt Wood, Brandon Clark (Frankie), and Tyranny Hawkins—will forever cherish their memories with her. Jeri was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Shayla, Shyla, and Amelia.
Jeri’s extended family includes her sisters-in-law, Rhonda Ohle (Marshallville) and Robin Eaton (Las Vegas), and her brothers-in-law, Mike Weidrick (Litchfield) and James Farley (San Diego). Her good friends Betty Farley and Sandy Starr also held a special place in her life.
A special thanks goes out to Dr. Richard Obelander for providing 30 years of care, as well as the staff at Mount Carmel East for their exceptional support, especially Sara, Matt, Tammy, Dee, Tay, Kate, Kayla and Morgan.
A celebration of Jeri’s life will be held on February 15, 2025 from 1:00PM-6:00PM at The Normandy Columbus, 315 East Long Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 where we will honor the joy, love, and laughter she brought into our lives.
Rest easy, Jeri. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
