George took his Honor Flight in 2016 and often spoke about how it was one of his favorite memories. Honor Flight pays tribute to senior veterans by providing a free trip to visit their service and war memorials in Washington DC, sharing their stories of service, and celebrating their homecoming. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Honor Flight Columbus (www.honorflightcmh.org/donate-today) in George’s memory so other veterans can be honored with this experience.
