Elizabeth Betty Ezell's Obituary
Elizabeth (Betty) Hearne Ezell, age 93, died on November 18, 2018. Born October 11, 1925 in Morristown, NJ. Graduate of Butler University where she was chapter president of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Employed as a Social Worker at Indianapolis General Hospital and as a Supervisor for Social Security Bureau of Disability Determination in Columbus. Proceeded in death by parents Dora and Ralph Hearne, brother Jack Hearne and husbands Van Y. Duncan, Jr. and Harry E. Ezell, M.D. She is survived by children John Duncan (Mary), Beth Wiseman (Robert), and R. Scott Duncan (Jean), and brother William Hearne (Mary). Step children include Harry Ezell III (Marguerite), Robert Markham Ezell, PhD., Douglas Ezell, M.D. (Sharon), William Ezell (Phoebe) and Nancy Wetzel (Richard). She also loved eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Betty enjoyed traveling, gardening, water color painting, reading, ice skating, dancing, sewing and writing poetry, but especially family and friends. Family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
