Earl Ray Mink's Obituary
Earl Ray Mink, 88, of Orient, OH, went home to be with his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Ruth J. Mink, by his side.
Earl was born in 1937, in Whitley County, Kentucky, to the late Ray and Elsie Mink. He is survived by his wife Ruth J. Mink of Orient; children Martin C. (Kathleen) Mink of Orient, Roger C. (Kelly) Mink of Circleville; step-children Brent (Lori) Seaman of Kokomo, IN, Kelley (Greg) Leonard of Columbus, Ginger (Josh) Sabolcik of Naperville, IL, Jerry (Stephanie) Collier of Lynchburg, Virginia; sisters June Paul of Williamsburg, KY, and Janna (David) Fashenpour of West Melbourne, FL; grandchildren Hayden (Piper) Mink, Garrett Mink, Daniel (Kaitlin) Burke, Carlie (Tyler) Goodfleisch; great-grandchildren Prestyn Mink, Harper and Brooks Burke, Levi, Grant and Bennett Goodfleisch, as well as many loving extended family members and longtime close friends, Drex and Deborah Simpkins. Earl was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sue Mundy-Mink-Davis, third wife- Barbara Mink, and brother Roger Mink.
Earl worked in sales for many years for West Bend Cookware and Intercraft Frames, retiring in 2002. He faithfully attended Derby United Methodist Church in Orient and found great joy in creating beautiful woodworking projects. A devoted fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball, Earl proudly boasted that he only missed a handful of games his entire life! Earl’s kind heart and radiant smile could light up any room he entered. His wonderful sense of humor and gift for storytelling—often shared with his brother, Roger Mink—brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him. Nothing made Earl prouder than speaking of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm with the Memorial Service immediately following at Derby United Methodist Church, 11792 London Rd, Orient, OH 43143.
