Dayna Sue (Doty) Reimer's Obituary
Dayna Sue Reimer, age 58, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, deep devotion to her family, and her remarkable gift for bringing people together - especially during the holidays, when her home was filled with as many as eight beautifully decorated Christmas trees.
Born December 19, 1966, in Oak Park, Illinois, Dayna was the daughter of the late Norman and Shirley Doty. Her family later relocated to Independence Place in North Royalton, Ohio, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She graduated from North Royalton High School in 1985 and went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. Dayna built a successful career in pharmaceutical sales, where her warmth and dedication were evident to all who worked with her.
Known for her love of hosting and entertaining, Dayna especially cherished the holiday season. For many years, she opened her home to friends and family for large Christmas gatherings filled with abundant hors d’oeuvres, drinks, desserts, and laughter. Above all else, Dayna was a devoted and loving mother who never missed an event in the lives of her sons and supported them wholeheartedly in everything they did.
Dayna is survived by her sons, Jaret and Mitchell Reimer; her brother Theodore Doty and sister-in-law Richann Doty; her nieces Tricia Fires, Stacy McIntosh, and Sara Cnudde; and her beloved dogs, Oreo and Cocoa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Shirley Doty, and by her sister, Dawn Doty, who passed away exactly ten years earlier on December 6, 2015.
Dayna’s sons extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, for the exceptional care provided during her final days. They are also deeply thankful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and family during this difficult time. Jaret and Mitchell ask for time to heal and to plan a meaningful celebration of life in early summer 2026 - one that truly reflects their mother’s spirit and the joy she brought to others.
A Celebration of Life honoring Dayna will be held in early summer 2026 near Strongsville, Ohio. Additional details will be shared in the coming months via Facebook. For more information, please contact her son, Jaret.
