David Kirby Smucker's Obituary
David Kirby Smucker, April 26, 1943-June 23, 2023, died at home on Friday morning after a struggle with cancer. A retired CPA and lifelong Buckeye, David at various times worked as an agent for the IRS, owned his own accounting practice, and was in the Advanced Life Sales department at Nationwide Insurance. His many loves included dinner with family, cycling, writing articles and a soon- to- be- published book, and explaining to everyone that “life insurance is not deductible”. He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings and survived by his spouse and three children, as well as numerous extended relatives and friends…all of whom will miss him boundlessly. If you are inclined to do something in David’s honor, please donate to your personal favorite charity, or, alternatively, to Zusman Hospice, which provided so much comfort and support in his last few months. David requested that no service be held.
