Daniel Kisslinger's Obituary
Daniel Kisslinger, a longtime resident and Alderman from Des Plaines, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio, in the presence of his adoring family. He was 92. Born in Saint Louis, Missouri on December 1, 1924, Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 54 years, Marjorie, and is survived by his three loving, adult children - Scott, Steven and Maribeth Kisslinger. Daniel was also blessed with two grandsons, two great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. Daniel was one of five sons, all of whom including their parents celebrated 50 year wedding anniversaries, and is survived by one brother and a sister-in-law. An outgoing and friendly man, Daniel will be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Daniel graduated from the University of Missouri in 1949 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Besides spending time with his family and pets, Daniel also enjoyed golf, playing bridge, traveling, gardening, and his wifes delicious home cooking. He will be dearly missed. Services will be private, and a Celebration of Life event is being planned for the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association or the American Heart Association. The Kisslinger family thanks you for your love, prayers, and friendships.
