Clinton Darrel Moses' Obituary
Clinton Darrel Moses, 64, of Zanesville, OH passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2024 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH surrounded by family. He was born on May 15, 1959 in Charleston, WV to the late Darrel and Verna Moses of Hurricane, WV. Clinton graduated from Hurricane High School, attended the West Virginia State Police Academy, and worked as a deputy sheriff in Kanawha and Putnam County, WV before starting a distinguished career with American Electric Power (AEP). He retired from AEP on February 2, 2024 after 39 years and 2 months of service.
Clinton was always willing to lend a hand. He loved to share all his wonderful knowledge and skills with his family, friends, and coworkers, though he could be stubborn when it came to asking someone else for help. It seemed there was nothing he could not do or figure out how to do. Clinton was an avid DeWalt power tool collector and loved diesel Ford trucks. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, going out to eat, and having play time outdoors with his five German shepherds.
Clinton is survived by his wife of 26 years Renee Moses, his children Summer Moses of Gahanna, OH, Jared (Emily) Moses of Hurricane, WV, Chris (Risa) Manning of Loveland, OH, and Jaron (Emily) Paima of Zanesville, OH, his sister Dorenda Lee of Hurricane, WV, a host of grandchildren, two nieces, and several grand puppies.
No calling hours or services will be held at this time. Per Clinton’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
