Charles H. Capuano's Obituary
Charles H. Capuano, born March 26, 1935, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home March 27, 2025, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by his parents, Saverio and Ann Capuano; his son Charles H Capuano II; and brother Buddy. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia; son, Bradford and his wife, Jamie, Brandon and Morgan. Daughter and caregiver,Cathy; fur baby Lula; daughter-in-law, Lisa; Charles III and Frank. He was a graduate of Bexley high school and the Ohio State University. He started his career at North American Aviation, and then went to Owens, Illinois and worked for Libby Glass. From there, he went on to Yester Year Sandwich Shop, and the Big 10 restaurant. He opened Olde Summit Towne, Capuano’s Restaurant, Charlie Bear Land of the Dance, Charlie Horse Saloon, Charlie Star, Westside Charlie Nibblers 1&2, Rigoletto’s Outland and B Hamptons. He was a family man and loved to entertain and throw parties. His favorite pastime was working in the yard and interior decorating. He was always the life of the party. Throughout his career he brought many people together. He loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes football. We would like to thank Summit Hospice Care team for the exceptional and loving care. His legacy will live on especially through the Charlie Bear Land of Dance days.A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at Duecentos, 200 E. 4th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43224.
