Brian D. Rutz's Obituary
Brian D. Rutz, 58, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2026. Just days after he celebrated his birthday, a moment that will now be cherished even more deeply by those who loved him.
Brian was a man of simple joys and steady passions. He found his greatest peace out on the water as an avid fisherman, could often be found working on cars, and treasured the quiet comfort of watching TV surrounded by his family. His presence brought warmth, familiarity, and love to those closest to him.
While his family finds comfort in knowing he is finally at peace, the loss leaves an immeasurable void that words cannot fully express.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved son, Andrew “AJ” Rutz; his mother, Barbara Meyer; his father, Jacob Allen Rutz; and his brother in law Dwight Kellison
He is survived by his loving children: Wesley Rutz; Melissa (Scott) Ruch; Olivia Rutz; and Savannah Rutz. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Christian and Sophira Ruch. Brian is further survived by his brothers, Robert Rutz, Jason (Rachel) Rutz, Jacob (Charity) Rutz and his sisters, Tiffany Kellison and Jennifer Meyer, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Brian.
