Barbara J. Pearl's Obituary
Barbara J Pearl, 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 4:20pm at Doctors West, just one day prior to her 66th birthday. She is preceded in death by her Parents Charles and Norrine Pearl. Also preceded in death by her former husband Ricky King. Although their 24 year marriage was not permanent, they did have 3 children and remained friends. She is survived by these 3, now grown children, Ricky E King Jr., Jolynn King, and Brandy King (Travis Schulz). She has 5 grandchildren that brightened her life, Anthony Chadwick, Kameron King (Jessica), Austin Parks, Karaya Jobes and Ella Marietti. Her 4 siblings, Steve Pearl, Pat Pearl, Mike Pearl and Pam Gilbert (Reed). She also has many loved Nieces and Nephews. Among all these beautiful family members and friends, she also acquired so many “adopted children” throughout the years.
She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on January 8, 1957. Barb was raised in Lincoln Village North and attended Westland High School, 1971-1975. She enjoyed gardening, reading, repurposing furniture, and spending time with her family and friends. Her personality was larger than life, she never met a stranger and her laugh and smile will always be unforgettable.
Per Our Mothers Wishes, there will be no formal services. We are planning a Celebration of Life for the spring. This event will be held at Battelle Darby Creek State Park. A place that she enjoyed as a child and brought her own children to, making many special memories she forever held with her.
