I was lucky enough to work with Angela for my first few years at Scottwood. As a new teacher she made me feel welcome and always offered teaching tips and resources. Her compassion for her students was evident. She had a heart for every child she taught, regardless of race, gender, or disability. She was a constant inspiration not only to her students, but to the staff as well. Angela made a positive impact on my life and my teaching career. Whether I needed to vent, laugh, or cry, her door was always open with a listening ear, and for that I will always be grateful. We lost an amazing teacher and friend. Our building just won’t be the same without her. Heaven gained a truly beautiful soul.

Hello Perry family, please except my condolences on the passing of your beautiful daughter. I was looking for a specific obituary and saw hers. I would have loved to have met Angela and become her friend. She sounds like an awesome person. We have a lot of the same interests. You will think I’m strange but I’ve actually never done anything like this before. Maybe God has a lot to do with it. They do say He works in my steric ways. You daughter is dancing and has all the little animals around her! May God give you all the hope, faith and strength during this very difficult time.

Pam, I didn't know your daughter personally but I had a daughter also who had the same problems as Angela. She received a transplant, kidney and pancreas, and she lived ten more years, but she passed away at 45 also. I send my deepest sympathy and will keep your family in my prayers. Pat

pam i am so so sorry for your loss, i am so glad i had the pleasure of knowing angie and getting to do her hair. she was such a sweet soul. i'll miss her waving to me as she went by my house . i was so shocked to read it the paper. if there is anything i can do to please let me know. i know she is in a good place now and no more suffrering. i send all my love thoughts and prays to you and your family.

So sorry to read of Angela’s passing. I worked with her at Chase Academy and Sherwood Middle School, so I saw her concern for and dedication to her students. I also know she loved animals, so I’ll make a donation to CHA in her name. I know she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ms Perry was a wonderful lady that I met at Scottwood last school year while subbing in the office. She was so nice and always made me feel welcome. She will be missed.
