Alice Pauline (Pfeister) Vestal's Obituary
Alice Vestal, 90, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 5, 2024. She was exactly one month short of her 91st birthday. She was born on October 5, 1933, in North Lima, Ohio where she lived until moving to Boardman, Ohio. She moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 2018 to be closer to her nieces.
Alice graduated from North Lima High School, Class of 1951. She attended business school afterward. She held several positions over the years performing both bookkeeping and general office duties.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ilda (Gehrig) Pfeister; sister Mary Babinsky (Elmer): brother John Pfeister; and husband Norman Vestal. She is survived by her nieces Christine Enright (David) and Jennifer Braund (Michael) and their children.
Alice was known for her beautiful singing voice and cheerful and generous spirit. In her free time, she enjoyed embroidery, knitting, gardening, and baking. Her faith remained strong until the end leaving a lasting legacy with family and friends. Alice was a life-long animal lover and leaves behind her sweet cat, Sadie.
A memorial service was held at Highlands Presbyterian Church on November 2, 2024. Her ashes are to be interred with Norman in Youngstown at a future date.
