Alice Lee Bevan's Obituary
Alice Bevan was born March 20, 1926 in Columbus Ohio to Harry Corbet Hager and Hildred (Orr) Hager. She grew up in Grandview Heights Ohio. She enjoyed spending her summers at her grandparents (Samuel and Alice Orr) homes in Chandlersville. She was a long-time resident of Worthington Ohio and also lived in Hamilton Illinois, Wabash Indiana, and Van Wert Ohio. Member Worthington Presbyterian Church. She attended Everett JHS, graduate from Central High School and attended OSU. Alice was devoted to her family and enjoyed conversing with everyone that she met. She was employed by Farm Bureau (Nationwide Insurance) and Worthingway Middle School. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan; son Doug; parents Harry and Hildred Hager; sister Mary Thomas; brothers-in-law Larry Berlin and Tim Haines. Alice is survived by children; Dan (Linda) Bevan, David (Stefany) Bevan, Geoff (Linda) Bevan; daughter-in-law, Cathy; sisters; Martha Berlin, Marjorie Haines; brother-in-law, Lee Thomas; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the memory unit at Bickford of Worthington and Heartland Hospice. Donations may be made, in her name, to a charity of choice. A celebration of Alice’s life will be at Worthington Presbyterian Church at 773 High St., Worthington, OH 43085 on December 20, 2019 at 11:30 am with Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. Lunch will be served immediately following service. Arrangements entrusted to Buckeye Cremation by Schoedinger.
