Alesia Kathleen "Kathy" Shope-Biros' Obituary
On Sunday, February 26, 2023, Alesia Kathleen "Kathy" Shope-Biros of Westerville, OH crossed over to be with her Lord and Savior. Her loving husband and adoring sister were faithfully by her side.
Kathy was born January 10, 1961, in Chillicothe, OH to the late Jon and Ruth (Cottrill) Shope. Kathy graduated from Chillicothe High School and Ohio University, Athens. On January 28, 2006, she married her best friend and champion, Todd Biros of New Wilmington, PA.
Kathy exhibited the passion for volunteering in her community by delivering meals, warm coats, and other essentials to those in need and by raising money for Relay for Life. She had a strong faith in God and was a loyal friend. Colleagues at Affinion Group and Farmers Insurance will remember Kathy for her coaching skills and partnership. She was a fierce OSU Buckeye Football fan, loved all things Christmas and collected vintage Santas. She had a great eye for a bargain which supported her zeal for shopping at the mall, flea markets and festivals. Hilton Head, SC was her "happy" place.
Kathy's spirit will be carried on by her husband Todd, sister Melissa (Richard) Carroll, beloved niece Emerson Grace Bethel, nephews Austin (Sylvia) Carroll and Matthew (Kennedi Alley) Carroll, grandniece Ellen Mae as well as an uncle and cousins in Florida and many friends from the "Laurel Street Gang".
Kathy's family will have a private celebration of her life on a later date. Her family is suggesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations go to Ohio's Hospice of Central Ohio (https://www.hospiceofcentralohio.org/donate/donate-now/) where the team provided Kathy the utmost kindness and grace.
