My most sincere condolences to the large Crabtree family on the loss of Danny. I am a fellow Northland '72 graduate, & as I read his obit, it took my memories of him back to our high school years. Danny was quite the character. I can go back & see him always w/his ornery grin & up for some fun. SO sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for all of you. 😢

Danny and I were classmates from 7th grade through our senior year at Northland High. I remember him as an athlete, a scraper, a fun loving guy, and always with that boyish grin on his face and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Northland has had an all-class reunion since 2002 and I don't remember a time that I didn't see Danny there. We will miss you, Danny. My condolences to your family.
Danny was a fun loving guy who I met back in 8th grade at Woodward Park Junior High when we moved to Columbus. We were baseball teammates and graduated from Northland together in 1972. I really enjoyed seeing Danny each year at the Northland all class reunion. He was always interested in hearing about my family as I was about his. He was the kind of guy who could be the life of the party but also loyal and tough as nails. For over 45 years, I’ve always listed him as one of the two or three people I’ve ever known who I would want to be with me if I was in a fox hole fighting for my life. God’s peace as you rest, my friend. Gods peace and comfort to your family.
Danny was my next door neighbor for several years, we use to play tricks on my sister Janis, and her friends. Danny was fiercely competitive, We would play STRATEGO and he hated to lose! I will miss our political rival conversations, and our love for the Buckeyes. He loved his family so much! May his family be comforted in knowing he was a hard worker, and kind, and helpful person, He will be missed so much. He loved kicking back, and enjoying a few Champagne of bottled Beer, Miller Lite! We talked of him coming out to CA, and going camping in the fall, I wanted so much for him to see Yosemite National Park, close to my home. RIP Danny!
Danny whom I refferd to as Jeans, because of his love for landscaping and his yard was perfect. Every year I would admire his work. We were the best of friends. We shared so much music! Our playlist is over 1000 songs. He loved ice cream and cake. Blue Bunny was his favorite brand of ice cream. It was also our words for I need to talk. He was such a sweet spirit. His laugh infectious. During March Madness we would always do the brackets. Football season was the most thrilling time of year too. He sure did love the Buckeyes. I will miss him more than anyone would know. Karen

My condolences to the family. I was a fellow 72. grad with Danny and worked with his mom at court. I also helped Danny on various occasions. Danny was all about his family and we will all miss him greatly. Mark Serrott
