Helen Yvonne Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Helen Y. Williams, age 72, of Circleville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2020 at Pickaway Manor Care Center due to complications of COPD. She was born on July 24, 1947 in Prosperity, West Virginia to the late Howard W. Higginbotham and Orpha Akers-Higginbotham. Helen was employed for 30+ years with GTE (now Verizon). She was a homebody and enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows. She loved her family and will be sorely missed and loved forever. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her only daughter, Michelle Lynn Volz and her sister, Elizabeth A. Jones. She is survived by her brother, Douglas (Alice) Higginbotham of Blanchester, OH; sisters, Judith Lucas of Lebanon, PA and Carolyn (Leroy) Jennings of Circleville, OH; son, Joshua D. Higginbotham of Circleville, OH; grandsons, Aaron Higginbotham of St Pete, FL and Ian D. Higginbotham of McArthur, OH; granddaughter, Amie Hayden of FL; great grandson, Bailey (Aaron’s son); and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly, OH. The family would like to thank all those who took such good care of Helen in her final days. Rest in peace my sweet sister and best friend. Until we meet again.
