For a little while, Judy was a bonus friend before she and George moved to Ohio. We went to a couple of movies together we knew Laura wouldn’t care to see. I enjoyed her sense of humor and her gentle nature. And of course, I know from Laura what a wonderful mom she was. Years later she knitted me a pussyhat as she did for many women who attended the Women’s March on January 21, 2017. My dad passed just before his birthday many years ago. I remember how weird that felt. I’m so sorry for your loss and so glad for the cherished memories you have.

Judy was my neighbor for many years. What a sweet sweet woman with the most kind heart. I remember evey year while living next door going to Judy and George's house for Christmas. One time I was sick and this sweet lady made me homemade chicken noodle soup. The best soup I had since my mothers. And then the secret talks. So many words of wisdom both during and after I moved. Judy and George were the best as neighbors. RIP seeet lady you deserve it.

Judy drew me into her orbit with the most perfect (homemade) hot sausage sandwich. It was exactly when Laura and I needed after an overexuberant homecoming celebration the night before. This, I knew immediately, was a woman with whom I could seriously bond. And - lucky for me - I had the good fortune of getting to know her better decades later. She was an amazing woman. So sharp, witty...no nonsense. And she was quick to laugh. But what struck me most was her innate kindness and her ability to love unconditionally. Rest in peace, Judy. You did a stellar job while you were here. I will forever attempt to mimic your most perfect romaine ribbons. Love you forever. Thank you for your kindness and wide-open heart. Laura, Beth, George and the whole fam: I love you to the moon and back. I am so sorry for your loss. The Hawaiian proverb below is how I will forever remember Judy. She lived her life this way. Judy (Nana) was an EXTRAORDINARY woman in every sense of the word. In the several years I knew her she was always giving me something, whether it was home cooked meals (which I mean the MEATLOAF was the best ❤️) , great advice, and of course the warmest hugs that I ALWAYS needed. One day that sticks out to me, was when I was over at her house and she was showing me her wedding album. I remember sitting there with her looking at those pictures with amazement. I turned to her and asked, “what’s the secret to a happy marriage”. She said, “You know Julie most people think in a marriage it’s a give and take, 50/50 situation. In reality is 100/100. You have to put in 100% effort and so does your partner.” I have never forgotten that sentiment and how it resonated with me. I will cherish every moment I had with her.

I remember when she hired me to work at the Bank. She was my boss but we became good friends. There where four of us Judy, Jane, Joanne and myself. We shared some great times together. Rest In Peace my friend🙏 My condolences to the family🙏

I had the honor of getting a grand tour of the beautiful suite from Mrs Cucak that her and her husband proudly resided in that was attached to the wonderful home of their treasured daughter Beth and her husband Steve. Mrs Cucak was beaming with happiness as she showed me through her home. She shared with me a story of how often Beth would clean the glass doors and that she was sure she would wear them out! Beautiful lady, beautiful smile. 🙏🏻
