I am so sorry I didn’t get to know him. We spoke on the phone once. I believe my son was his organ donor. I would love to have contact with someone from his family.

Jon, a good man and friend. Thanks for the memories and opportunities.
Jon was an inspiring man. All through his illness, he had nothing but kind words and smiles for all of his colleagues at EPA. I enjoyed working with him and was so happy when he received the news that he would receive the transplants he so desperately needed. I remember there was some uncertainty, and then the positive news for which we were ever so grateful. May your hearts be filled with great memories of a very special man that touched many lives.
I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing he is not suffering anymore.
Jon was one of those people who truly made you feel appreciated. I was privileged to get to know him just a little bit through collaborations at EPA. I am not surprised to hear that he continued to remain active in the service of the greater good after he left EPA.
Godspeed my friend, and may your legacy carry into the future!
I'm so sad to hear of Jon's passing. For the vast majority of my EPA career,
Jon was a person I Iooked up to. He was a kind, thoughtful, and had a keen mind, I will alway be grateful for his guidance. I like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Herman family.
He was one of the good guys.

Oh, Joanne what a road you and Jon have traveled. You two have made a life time imprint on our family. Because of you and Jon, our then daughter-in-law to be found out about the job at the EPA and they have remained in Cincinnati. I am so blessed to have them so close. Thank you. - Susan Corn
My deepest condolences to Jon's family. Jon was one of the best people I have had the honor to know and work with in my life. He was always happy and positive and wanted to do his best to serve the people through his work. His accomplishments at EPA made a tremendous impact. He will always have a very warm place in my heart. We will see him again in a better place. May he rest in peace and love. Sally G.
I am deeply saddened by Jon's passing. Jon was a genuinely kind person and always a supportive colleague when we worked together at EPA. As a leader, Jon was caring and sincere, a rare breed. He will be greatly missed.
